Scheduling#

Notion offers the timeline view alongside table, board and calendar views; its pricing page does not document a Gantt chart with critical path calculation^[1]. In Gantify, the Gantt chart is a true scheduling engine:

Import, export and migration#

Gantify reads .mpp, Microsoft Project XML and Primavera .xer files, with an import report, and exports to Microsoft Project XML, CSV for Excel and print/PDF. Notion’s pricing page does not list .mpp import^[1].

Collaboration#

Notion allows pages to be shared publicly and includes guests on the free plan^[1]. Gantify offers link invitations with roles, tasks that can be assigned to several people, comments with mentions, unique task keys, a change history and a read-only public link to the plan.

The AI assistant works directly on the plan: it reads it, provides estimates, proposes changes for you to confirm and generates a first version of a plan with phases, tasks and dependencies from a description. Through API keys and the MCP server, it integrates with Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor and VS Code.

How to move your schedule from Notion to Gantify#

1. Export the task database from Notion to a spreadsheet format.
2. Create a free Gantify account and a new project.
3. Paste the rows from Excel into the grid: names, durations and indentation become tasks and subtasks.
4. Add the dependencies: dates and the critical path are calculated automatically.
